Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Minimum of 2 years Level 2 NICU
experience, no new graduates License: Current licensure by the
State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Graduation
from an accredited school of nursing Description: Provides
leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality
compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide,
delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and
families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family
information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding
solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures the
implementation of solutions. Clinical knowledge and analytical
abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
within the assigned unit or department. Ability to perform a wide
variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively
communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Preferred education is a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required. BLS
certification is required.
