Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of SICU experience required License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Open heart trained required Description: This position performs a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions. Nurses will intuitively use the nursing process while applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring manner. Responsibilities include assessing patients for physical, emotional, psych/social, and family support. Organizing and coordinating all aspects of patient care according to the patient’s real and/or perceived needs is essential. Evaluating patient progress involves correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met. Candidates are required to have supervisory references completed within the last two years.
